MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />July 13, 1989 <br />Hoffman CUP <br />(cont.) <br />Parks <br />) Fire Hall <br />Mr. Grittman indicated that his recommendation would be to <br />grant approval subject to the condition that there would not <br />be any business activity and that the addition would be <br />compatible with the house. <br />Mr. DeLonais moved that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Hoffman's conditional use permit subject to the <br />recommendations of the City Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Costa. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff asked what the status is of the <br />parks in the City. Ms. Drabik stated that everything was <br />coming along smoothly and the money was coming in right on <br />schedule. Mr. DeLonais asked if the bingo money went toward <br />the construction of the parks. Ms. Drabik indicated that <br />the money is used wherever it is needed. Mr. DeLonais <br />expressed some concern that the State lottery would affect <br />the bingo halls and felt that the money may stop coming in. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff asked if plans for the proposed site for the <br />Fire Hall would be submitted to the Planning Commission for <br />their consideration. Ms. Schweizer indicated that there is <br />going to be a meeting open to the public on the matter. <br />Mr. Costa felt that the matter should come before the <br />Commission. Mr. Grittman indicated that the Council <br />established the Facilities Committee to study the matter. <br />Ms. Schweizer and Mr. Grittman updated the Commission on the <br />matter. Mr. Grittman indicated that the Commission will <br />have a chance to review the matter before final approval. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff questioned the process that had been used on <br />the matter. Mr. Herkenhoff felt that the Planning <br />Commission should not have been left out. <br />Ms. Schweizer felt that the Planning Commission needs a <br />liaison from the City Council. <br />Page 7 <br />
