PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
In conjunction with the two mile reconstruction of Dunkirk Lane,
a 1,650 acre urban watershed was analyzed using TR -20 modeling
for storm routing. A two mile long ditch system, winding through
numerous roadway culverts, detention basins and trunk storm
sewer, was analyzed using the HEC -2 program to predict the water
surface profiles. The program results were used to design a new
ditch alignment, cross section and a non - erosive channel lining.
ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA
In September of 1987, SEH was hired by the City of Roseville to
study a Section of ditch tributary to McCarron Lake. The ditch
had become badly eroded and an existing weir structure had washed
out. The study analyzed the 1000 foot ditch section to determine
the cause of the ditch instability. The analysis included
recommendations for dissipation of energy, ditch stabilization of
eroded areas. Upon completion of the study, plans and
specifications were prepared and the construction was completed
in 1988. Special features of the plan include a riprap preformed
scour hole and a gabion drop structure.
ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA
A comprehensive drainage plan was prepared by SEH nearly 25 years
ago for the City. Based on this overall drainage plan, a city-
wide storm water plan was initiated. Numerous projects totaling
over 80 storm water detention basins and 60 miles of pipe within
the community were designed by and constructed under the guidance
of the SEH staff.
STILLWATER, MINNESOTA
The Stillwater East Industrial Park was the focus of a drainage
study completed by SEH in February, 1987. TR 20 hydraulic
modeling assisted in the preparation of recommendations for
improvements to the 153 -acre area. SEH is now in the process of
designing two drainage facilities. Because the drainage area is
Page .1 1
- 13 -
