MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
September 14, 1989
CAR PARKING DeLonais suggested that an article be placed in the
REGULATIONS City's newsletter reminding residents of the City's
parking regulations in residential areas.
Herkenhoff suggested that the City enforce violations.
The City Planner reported that the City has always
enforced violations on a complaint basis, mainly
because the City does not have the staff to police the
City looking for violations.
ORGANIZED Herkenhoff asked if the issue of organized collection
COLLECTION should have come before the Planning Commission.
The City Planner replied that the issue of organized
collection was not one the Planning Commission's
responsibility.
ECONOMIC DeLonais reported that the Economic Development
DEVELOPMENT Committee had a meeting recently at which a developer
submitted a concept proposal for the development of the
Gagne and Nadeau properties. The plan included three
office - showroom buildings which would be developed in
phases.
The Committee also discussed the Centerville Road area
and the Committee asked Business Development Services
to look at this area and report on what approach could
be taken to attract a developer.
The Commission discussed the screening of the
Slumberland site from the residential area.
The City Planner reported that the City can require
10 -foot nursery stock and he will recommend a minimum
of 10 feet.
DeLonais was concerned that there has been no follow -up
on these projects. The Planner pointed out that the
City has not been staffed to handle it. The Planner
thought that a new City Administrator will address this
issue.
ADJOURN There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:14 P.M.
Resp9ctfully ubmitted,
Q ✓L /.
