Carl Side Yard Setback Variance Agenda Item No. 7 Fahey opened the public hearing on the request of Ron Carlson for a 20 foot sideyard setback variance for Lot 10, Block 2, Southern Slopes Addition. Fahey pointed out that under Code the setback on this particular lot would be 30 feet, and Mr. Carlson is requesting a 10 foot sideyard setback. The Planning Commission and the Planner have recommended approval of the variance request. Fahey pointed out that on April 3, 1986 the Planner recommended that if a similar variance was granted for a previous owner of the property, further subdivision of the property should not be allowed. Mr. Carlson stated that he did not plan to subdivide the property. Carlson stated that he plans to place his house 125 feet from the front of the lot and is requesting the variance on the east side of the lot. Carlson stated that he felt Condit Street would never be extended in this area, and pointed out that the Council granted variance for has ar10 Dukowitz on property, setback. Page 34
