MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Steve Grittman <br />FROM: Bob Kirmis <br />DATE: 14 September 1989 <br />RE: Little Canada - Slumberland Distribution <br />Center Addition <br />FILE NO: 758.09 - 89.40 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Per your request, I have conducted a site inspection of the <br />existing Slumberland Distribution Center located at 3060 <br />Centerville Road. The inspection was prompted by a recent <br />proposal to construct a 15,140 foot building addition to the <br />existing center. Prior to approval of the proposed building <br />addition, an assurance should be made that key elements of the <br />existing structure's original site plan have been fully <br />implemented (i.e., screening, landscaping, etc.) and that no site <br />plan alterations are present. <br />Attached for reference: <br />Exhibit A - Site Location <br />Exhibit B - Site /Landscaping Plan <br />Exhibit C - Site Photos <br />Parking. Per Ordinance requirements, 188 parking spaces are <br />needed to accommodate the existing Slumberland facility and <br />proposed building addition. The requirement was calculated as <br />follows: <br />Existing Office and Warehouse: <br />12,000 square foot office less 10 percent and at one space <br />per 2,000 square feet equals 54 spaces plus, <br />99,000 square foot warehouse less 10 percent at one space <br />per 1,000 square feet equals 89 spaces. <br />Page 30 <br />
