MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />October 12, 1989 <br />Campbell reported that during the summer he did have <br />six cars, however, sold one and is restoring another. <br />Campbell reported that he and his wife and three <br />children live at 2881 Edgerton. <br />Drabik asked if the car restoration was a only a hobby, <br />and asked if Mr. Campbell would be using noisy <br />equipment. <br />Campbell replied that his car restoration is only a <br />hobby and reported that he does all his own vehicle <br />maintenance. Campbell reported that he would be using <br />an air compressor, but no paint spraying equipment. <br />Campbell reported that the majority of the time he <br />would work in the garage between the hours of 3:30 P.M. <br />and 9 P.M. <br />Costa asked the size of the garage. <br />Campbell replied that the garage would be 24 feet by 36 <br />feet. <br />Drabik stated that there is a problem in her <br />neighborhood with noise generated by people doing <br />vehicle maintenance. Drabik asked if the the City had <br />a noise ordinance. <br />The City Planner replied that the restrictions in the <br />Zoning Ordinance refer to PCA standards for noise. <br />Costa asked if there would be anyone else working in <br />the garage other than Mr. Campbell. <br />Campbell replied that there would not unless his <br />brother helped him out on occasion. Campbell also <br />pointed out that he will have a small sound - proofed <br />area within the garage in which he would use noisy <br />equipment. <br />The City Planner reported that Code allows a maximum of <br />1,000 square feet in garage area, and any amount over <br />Page 2 <br />
