MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />September 27, 1989 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -9 -474 - APPROVING THE PERMANENT <br />TRANSFER OF THE MGM LIQUOR LICENSE TO THE NEW ADDITION <br />OF THE RICE AT C CENTER TO BE CONSTRUCTED BY SHERMAN <br />BOOSALIS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Blesener, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />MORATORIUM The City Attorney reported that the City now has in <br />ON TRASH place a signed contract with residential trash haulers <br />HAULERS who are part of the City's organized collection <br />LICENSES program. Therefore, the City could lift the moratorium <br />it has in place on the issuance of commercial trash <br />haulers licenses. <br />The City Attorney reported that he has amended the <br />City's trash hauler's license application and license <br />forms to include language giving the haulers no claim <br />for damages should the City go to organized collection <br />for commercial trash hauling. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -9 -475 - LIFTING THE MORATORIUM ON THE <br />ISSUANCE OF COMMERCIAL TRASH HAULER'S LICENSES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />LIQUOR Council tabled discussion of the matter of hours of <br />LICENSE operation for liquor businesses within the City until <br />HOURS OF the last Council meeting in November. <br />OPERATION <br />Council indicated that notice would be sent to liquor <br />license holders within the City notifying them that <br />this matter will be discussed. <br />REZONING The City Planner presented aiproposed ordinance <br />BOOSALIS adopting the rezoning action the City Council took <br />PROPERTY rezoning the residential property on Rice Street owned <br />Page 62 <br />
