I <br />MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />October 25, 1989 <br />GARDNER <br />BROS. SIGN <br />SEWER & <br />WATER <br />ASSESSMENTS <br />2875 <br />JACKSON STR. <br />properties. BDS does not anticipate that a lot of time <br />will be necessary, but that a basic package will be <br />presented to the developers. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -10 -526 - AUTHORIZING BUSINESS <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO WORK WITH THE DEVELOPERS IN THE <br />CENTERVILLE ROAD AREA AS DISCUSSED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -10 -527 - INSTRUCTING THE BUILDING <br />INSPECTOR TO INFORM GARDNER BROS. THAT THEY MUST REMOVE <br />THEIR EXISTING SIGN OR THE CITY WILL BEGIN LEGAL ACTION <br />TO HAVE IT REMOVED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaVaile, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Engineer explained that in 1967 sewer line was <br />installed in the Jackson Street and LaBore Road area, <br />however, two houses on the north end of Jackson elected <br />not to have sewer and the those houses were left out of <br />the improvement. The City Engineer reported, however, <br />that the property at 2875 Jackson was assessed for the <br />improvement. The Engineer stated that the same <br />situation occurred in 1971 when the watermain was <br />installed. <br />The City Engineer reported that 2875 Jackson Street now <br />wants to connect to sewer and water, and it is the <br />recommendation of the Engineer and Public Works <br />Superintendent that the property owner pay the cost of <br />connecting except for approximately $60 for the sewer <br />and $350 for water. These costs were not paid by the <br />homeowner as part of the assessment. It is also <br />Page 27 <br />Page 18 <br />
