MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
May 3, 1990
EMC
there is a second street frontage and then allow a
second pylon.
The Planner described Nick Boosalis's request for three
pylons at the Rice at C Center, and Council discussion
at their previous meeting regarding Rice At C's second
street frontage.
Drabik stated that she had a problem with the amount of
signage that Food & Fuel has with the signage on their
gas canopy. Drabik felt that this added to the signage
congestion in the area.
DeLonais pointed out that there were only a couple of
shopping centers out of the 30 that he surveyed that
had more than two pylon signs. DeLonais did not
believe that the Rice At C Center actually has two road
frontages, pointing out that there is no tenant facing
County Road C.
It was the concensus of the Planning Commission to
table this matter until their next meeting when the
City Planner will have the results of his survey.
The Planner reported that the EMC Board of Directors
has put their project on hold at this time. However,
EMC has left the door open and indicated that they may
be in the marketplace in a couple of months.
COUNTRY DR. Costa asked the status of the Country Drive project.
WORKSHOP
The City Planner was not sure where this project was
at.
DeLonais reported that he has talked to Ed Nadeau who
indicated that he has heard nothing from the developer
recently.
The Commission was reminded of the workshop meeting
with the City Council which is scheduled for Wednesday,
May 9th at 6:30 P.M.
ADJOURN There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy anzer
Recording Secretary
Page 10
