Please place this Resolution on <br />the Agenda for the City Council meeting scheduled for May 23, <br />1990. If any additions or deletions are required, please <br />advise. <br />As we have discussed, payment in the amount of the approved <br />appraised value for these easements is required prior to taking <br />possession of the easements on June 6, 1990. As a result, the <br />checks should be in my possession no later than June 1, 1990 in <br />order that they may be mailed in a timely fashion to the <br />property owners. <br />The valuations as to Parcels 10 and 11 have been determined <br />by formal appraisals prepared by William Peterson of Appraisal <br />Research Associates. Since the remainder of the properties <br />involved are similar in size and use to parcel 10, the value of <br />those remaining easements is based on an identical value a $1.25 <br />per square foot. <br />The approved appraised value as to the Pierce property <br />includes the sum of $500.00 for trees affected by the project. <br />An additional $800.00 has been added to the approved appraised <br />value for the temporary easement from Juanita Suchy for the <br />value of trees to be displaced by the improvement project. The <br />$800.00 figure was arrived at following consultations with Mr, <br />Peterson. Although not based on a formal appraisal, this amount <br />is based upon Mr. Peterson's professional judgment as to the <br />Page 1 <br />
