MAY-22-1990 13:33 FROM SWEENEY & BORER
Mr. Joel R. Hanson
May 22, 1990
Page Two
TO LITTLE-CANADA P.03/05
appropriate compensation for these trees.
The property owners, of course, are not bound by these
approved appraised values. Absent settlement, the value of the
permanent and temporary easements would be determined by
Commissioners to be appointed by the Court at the time of the
hearing now scheduled for May 29, 1990. I share your hope that
the majority of these matters can be appropriately resolved
without necessity of Commissioners' Hearings.
As to several of these property owners, there are mortgage
companies which must also be included on the check. As to
Parcel No. 2, please include Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance
Company as a payee on the check. Second, Minnesota Savings
Bank, further known as Minnesota Federal Savings and Loan
Association, and Household Industrial Finance Company should be
included as payees on the check to Pearl Bronson. Finally, the
check in favor of the Kennedys should include as payee, First
Bank, N.A., further known as First Security State Bank of Saint
Paul.
It is also my understanding that the Council will consider
payment in an appropriate amount to those property owners who
have voluntarily signed easements in favor of the City. Based
on a value of $1.25 per square foot, payment in favor of the
following parties in the following amounts would be appropriate:
1. A check in the amount of $225.00 in favor of Phillip
A. Morem and Deborah G. North, and Miktomm Mortgage;
2. A check in the amount of $150.00 in favor of Gregory
Sohloer and FIBS Mortgage Corporation; and
3. A check in the amount of $100.00 in favor of Minh D.
Vo and Ly T. Hui, and Minnesota Housing Finance
Agency.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please
advise.
PTO:bab
Enclosure
Very truly yours,
SWEENEY & BORER
/. ll`o.i12G.u.J
Paul T. Ostrow
Page 2
