conference with the successful bidder, and any other parties, bodies, <br />or agencies who have an interest in the Project. <br />1.5.2. Assist the City in providing advance notice to the public for <br />the purpose of informing them as to the timing of the Project, impact <br />upon their property, traffic or parking restrictions, and any other <br />pertinent information necessary relative to the Project. This will <br />include a meeting with the public if deemed necessary by the City to <br />aid in this process. <br />1.5.3. Make sufficient visits to the site to observe the progress <br />and quality of the construction work to determine if the work is <br />proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents as required by <br />the City. During such visits and on the basis of on -site observation <br />as an experienced and qualified Professional Engineer, the Consultant <br />shall keep the City informed of the progress of the work, advise the <br />City in writing regarding necessary change orders, apparent defects <br />or deficiencies in the work of the Contractor and inform the City of <br />his /her disapproval of any work which does not conform to the <br />Contract Documents. <br />1.5.4. Review the contractor's request for progress payments, advise <br />the City in writing as to the Consultant's opinion of the extent of <br />the work completed in accordance with the terms of the Construction <br />Contract, and issue for processing by the City, Requests for <br />Payment. The Consultant shall submit in writing to the City <br />estimated cash -flow requirements when requested. <br />1.5.5. Keep the City informed on a timely basis as to the contract <br />quantities as compared to the actual construction quantities and <br />notify the City when over -runs may occur. <br />Page 6 <br />Page 21 <br />
