The Limited Business District allows a <br />restricted list of commercial uses designed so as to coexist with <br />nearby residential neighborhoods. Neighbors expressed concern <br />with one of the permitted uses in the B -1 District as <br />unacceptable, that use being convenience stores. The City <br />Council agreed that convenience stores in the B -1 District would <br />be more appropriately listed as a conditional rather than a <br />permitted use. Attached to this memorandum is a proposed text <br />amendment which would accomplish this change. One of the issues <br />which the City must address is the conditions, above and beyond, <br />those generally applied, which the City will impose on this <br />conditional use.
