for residents who were interested in temporary jobs with the
Census Bureau.
Our goal was to adequately inform the residents of Little
Canada that answering the 1990 .Census questionnaire was
important to them individually and to us as a City.' are
confident that we have acomplished this goal., The door
hangers, articles and other information distributed in our
city gave the phone number at City Hall to contact with
questions. We received quite a few calls. When residents
called, either with questions, or to inform us that they had
not received the Census form, they were given the Census
Bureau "1 -800" number. In one case,'a resident had not
received the questionnaire, and did not want to call the
"1 -800" number. A member of the Census committee made the
call for her and had the Census form mailed out immediately.
We'd like to thank the City Council for appropriating
$220.00 for printing of the door hangers. The additional
costs we Incurred were approximately $80.00 -C4 cents each
for approximately 2000 flyers) to North Suburban Press to
included the stuffers with their paper, and the cost of
donuts served on March 17 to our volunteer helpers.
LITTLE CANADA 1990 CENSUS COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEE
Kathy Glanzer
Lorraine Pelton
Phyllis Kendig
Sharon Timmons
Page 33
