Under this strategy, the decisions of cities and TIF <br />authorities to use TIF would impact only the municipal tax <br />bases. Counties and school districts would no longer be in <br />the position of funding a development financing tool for <br />which they have no control. It is estimated that this would <br />reduce TIF revenues by as much as 75 percent. <br />18. Eliminate TIF as a development financing tool. Elimination <br />of TIF would permit all growth in the tax base to go directly <br />to the various taxing jurisdictions. <br />Page 95 <br />
