Office of:
JOEL R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612.484.2177
FAX: 612.484.4538
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
February 22, 1990
Mr. Tom Short
Movers Warehouse, Inc.
1250 E. Moore Lake Drive, Suite 200
Fridley, MN 55432
RE: Water and Sewer Mains Between Market Place and
Graebel Movers
Dear Mr. Short:
Pursuant to our conversation of February 21, 1990 regarding
the water and sewer mains between Graebel Movers and Market
Place, I am hereby advising you that this item will be
placed on the agenda of the Council meeting of February 28,
1990 for their consideration. Specifically, they will
consider the possibility of the City acquiring the
necessary easements for the water and sewer lines running
between the aforementioned properties. This would address
the potential problem that the sewer and water mains are
now privately owned.
It will be my recommendation that the City Council
seriously consider acquiring the necessary easements in
order that we may control the operation of both the water
and sewer lines. This recommendation would be subject to
televising that portion of the sanitary sewermain acquired
by the City and a pressure test of the watermain before the
City accepts the easements and mains. The cost of testing
and the correction of any deficiencies discovered by this
process would be at the expense of those now in control of
the system. Obviously this is a decision that must be made
by the City Council and the final decision regarding this
matter will be theirs.
,.{,g,e 4 3
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Sca1ze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
