City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 903.050 OP THE LITTLE CANADA CITY <br />CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY ESTABLISHING SURFACING <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR DRIVEWAYS AND PARKING AREAS. <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 903.OSO.D.B.k. is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />k. Surfacing. <br />i. All parking area plans shall be submitted to the city and are subject to the review and <br />approval of the Building Official. The Building Official may refer the plans to other City <br />staff for review. <br />ii. All azeas intended to be utilized for parking space for five (5) or more vehicles and <br />associated driveways shall be paned with, but not limited to, asphalt, bituminous, pavers, <br />or concrete to control dust and drainage. <br />iii. For new construction of new garages and/or homes in all R-1 and R-2 districts, areas <br />intended to be used for vehicle parking spaces and driveways shall comply with the <br />above-stated requirement. <br />iv. Parking areas and driveways for existing garages and/or homes shall be surfaced with <br />a material suitable to control dust and drainage. A covering permitting growth of grass or <br />weeds in the R-1 or R-2 districts does not constitute an acceptable surfacing material. <br />v. Driveway construction requires a permit, as established by Chapter 821 of the Little <br />Canada Ciry Code. <br />Section 2. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in Full force from and after its passage and publication. <br />William Blesener, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel Hanson, Administrator <br />AYES: <br />NAYS: <br />
