October 18, 1990
Mr. Hanson
Page Three
These charges are the result of my direction to the contractor
to remove all Type 'A' fixtures and replace them with a combin-
ation of incandescent and flourescent fixtures on both the lower
and upper levels of the building. This work has been completed.
The Kurt Verson company has indicated that they will take back
all of the Type 'A' fixtures with a full credit going to the
City. This credit should be in the range of $2,000 however, to
this date I can not establish the exact credit due to the fact
that all of the lighting fcr this project was purchased from
the distributor for a lot price.
G.) Exterior U.P. Lighting. Add $771.00. This Change Order is
the result of my suggestion to use recessed lighting fixtures
under the shelter roofs rather than surface mounted lighting.
The Project Drawings indicate a recessed fixture however, the
Fixture Schedule indicated a less expensive surface mounted
fixture. The original bid was prepared on the basis of the sched-
uled fixture and, had the Fixture Schedule reflected the desired
fixture, the original bid price would have been accordingly
higher.
H.) Repair Irrigation. Add $585.00. The sprinkler line located
east of the well and running north and south across the trail
was found to be leaking. It is not possible to determine the
cause of the damage or who caused the damage and likewise, it
is not possible to say that this contractor or his subconractors
were responsible. The investigation and repair was done at the
direction of Sanders and Associates,- Inc.
I hope that the above information is satisfactory however, if
it is not or if you should have any questions, please call.
Richard V. Krumm, AIA
Page 108
