MINUTES <br />PRELIMINARY <br />PLAT - <br />FREDERICKS- <br />HAVEN <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 13, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />December, 1990 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Robert Pedersen called the meeting to order at 7:30 <br />P.M. and the following members of the Commission were <br />present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Pedersen, Chairman <br />Dave Bendel <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Steve Garske <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Peter Costa <br />Claudia Drabik <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Kathy Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />There being no corrections to the minutes of the <br />November 8th meeting, the minutes stood approved as <br />read. <br />Mr. Gordie Howe appeared before the Commission <br />requesting approval of the preliminary plat of <br />Frederickshaven, which consists of the extension of <br />the Sunrise Drive cul -de -sac with 5 single - family lots, <br />as well as 13 additional single - family lots which will <br />be accessed via a new cul -de -sac street coming in from <br />Edgerton Street. Howe noted that a variance is <br />necessary for the length of this cul -de -sac. <br />DeLonais suggested that the radius of the cul -de -sac be <br />large enough for a fire truck to turn around. <br />The City Planner reported that the City requires a 45 <br />foot width for cul -de -sacs, which would be adequate <br />area for a fire truck to turn around. The Planner <br />noted that the variance action is not before the <br />Commission this evening, but will be handled as a part <br />Page 1 <br />
