Office of:
JOEL R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612-484-2177
FAX: 612-484-4538
November 9, 1990
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
RE: Acceptance of Registered Land Survey for Mostad
Property Subdivision
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
Attached is a memo received from Mr. David Torgerson regarding
subdivision of the Mostad property. Apparently, some confusion
existed regarding the method by which the subdivision was to occur,
(i.e. plat versus registered land survey). Therefore, Mr. Torgerson
has asked us to clarify staff's position on this matter.
In researching this issue, Section 100.010 of our Subdivision
Ordinance does allow for subdivision by Registered Land Survey in the
case of Torrens property. In reviewing this fact with our Planner,
he has indicated to me that the Mostad subdivision would comply with
this requirement. Therefore, the Council would need to approve the
subdivision of the Mostad property by Registered Land Survey.
Page 13
a.,e
