MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 12, 1990 <br />Drabik felt that once a path is paved through that <br />easement, topography would not be much of a problem. <br />Herkenhoff recommended approval of the preliminary plat <br />of the Green Value Addition, as submitted subject to the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his <br />report dated July 9, 1990 with the further <br />recommendation that the City study the drainage of the <br />area. <br />Motion seconded by Bendel. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />POOLSIDE Mr. Louis Anderson, Poolside, appeared before the <br />CONDITIONAL Commission requesting approval of a conditional use <br />USE PERMIT permit to allow outdoor sales displays at their site at <br />121 East County Road C. Anderson reported that the <br />display consists of a display swimming pool with a <br />surrounding deck. The pool is located in the southwest <br />corner of the site and is approximately 18 feet by 33 <br />feet. <br />James Griebler, resident of the area, asked if the City <br />required pools to be enclosed in a six -foot fence. <br />Anderson replied that the pool is two feet above grade <br />plus has a 4 foot fence surrounding it on the deck. <br />Drabik asked if the fence had a gate and if the gate <br />was locked during business hours, expressing concern <br />for children who might wander to the pool. <br />Anderson replied that the gate is unlocked during <br />business hours. <br />0 <br />DeLonais pointed out that the City recently denied a <br />CUP for outdoor displays on County Road B. <br />The Planner replied that that particular property was <br />located in a warehousing zone, while the Poolside <br />property is zoned B -3. <br />The Commission expressed concern that the pool has <br />already been constructed. <br />Drabik asked if the fencing used was permitted by Code. <br />The Planner replied that the Building Inspector is <br />reviewing the fencing issue, and stated that the <br />Page 9 <br />
