Our Objectives for the community Crime Watch Program are: <br />To reduce crime, fear of crime in the community. <br />To reduce the number of burglaries, thefts and auto thefts. <br />To increase our quality and participation in the Crime Watch <br />Program. <br />To educate a minimum of one group per week in Crime Prevention/ <br />Neighborhood Watch. <br />To initiate Neighborhood Night Out in our area. <br />To increase the number of people involved in Operation Identification. <br />To initiate new programs: Neighborhood Park Watch and Apartment <br />Watch. <br />To educate citizens /neighborhoods on recognizing suspicious activity, <br />detection and observation of a crime. <br />To encourage the public to report a suspicious activity or a crime in <br />progress. <br />To encourage citizen participation in the responsibility of city and <br />county parks, and emphasize "pride in parks ". <br />To ultimately reduce vandalism, thefts, assaults that occur in park <br />areas. <br />To educate businesses and retailers on security risks. <br />To encourage participation in Community Crime Prevention efforts <br />6 <br />Page 21 <br />
