Off ice of:
JOEL. R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612-484-2177
FAX: 612- 484 -4538
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: August 17, 1990
RE: Slumberland Development Agreement
Pursuant to action by the City Council at the meeting of
August 8, 1990, the City Attorney has been in the process
of drafting a developer's agreement to address the
watermain extension on DeSoto Street to serve the
Slumberland addition. We anticipate that this agreement
will be finalized and executed by Slumberland prior to
Wednesday's Council meeting.
The key components of this agreement are as follows:
* City Engineer will design the watermain extension
for that portion occurring on public right -of -way.
* Permission will be given to Slumberland to enter
upon the right -of -way and install the watermain
utilizing their own private contractor.
* The City will reserve the right to approve the
selection of their contractor.
* The City Engineer and other staff will oversee the
installation of the watermain to ensure that it
complies with City standards.
* The City will be responsible for obtaining any
easements that may be necessary.
Slumberland will reimburse the City for our costs
related to this project. Those will consist of
City Attorney's fees, City Engineer's costs,
easement costs, and any staff time or other
administrative charges incurred by the City
° Page 66
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collove
Jim LeValle
