EXHIBIT D <br />City of Little Canada <br />Special Archery Deer Hunt Rules for All Hunts Conducted by MBRB <br />2013 <br />I. All hunters are selected through the Metro Bowhunters Resource Base (MBRB). <br />2. Hunts are conducted using sharpshooter status MBRB archers. <br />3. Deer hunt locations are limited to the areas as identified on the attached maps. <br />4. There will be four (4) hunt periods consisting of the following: <br />• September 27th — 29th <br />• October 11th— 13" <br />• October 25th — 27th <br />• November 8th — 10th <br />5. Tree stands can be erected on the day preceding each hunt period. No hunting on the <br />stand set up days is allowed. <br />6. Stands should be discretely placed so as not to be visible from other residential structures <br />in the area or from public road right -of -way. Ideally, stands should be located 30 yards <br />from property lines. <br />7. Hunters must follow all Minnesota DNR laws and all MBRB special rules. <br />8. All hunt periods are for either sex deer with eh emphasis on shooting antlerless deer. A <br />minimum of one bonus tag must be in the hunter's possession at all times. <br />9. Hunters must carry a hunt authorization letter from the City at all times during hunt. <br />10. Hunt areas are closed to the public for the purpose of safety during the hunt. <br />11. All incidents of trespass should be reported to the MBRB hunt coordinator who will <br />contact the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department. <br />12. Archers must hunt from elevated stands. However, ground blinds may be used by <br />disabled hunters. In this case, the MBRB hunt coordinator will place the blind in a safe <br />location. <br />13. Screw -in tree steps are prohibited. Archers must utilize strap -on steps, ladders, climbing <br />sticks, or climber stands for vertical access to their stand locations. <br />14. Hunters must have a flashlight and a warning whistle within easy reach during entry, <br />egress, and while on stand. A cell phone is also recommended. <br />15. All hunters must use a five -point fall restraint harness while on stand. Hunters also must <br />utilize a fall restraint system during ascending and descending access operations. <br />9 <br />
