The license is effective only for <br />the premises specified in the approved license application. <br />817.160. Term; Expiration; Pro Rata Fee. The license is <br />issued for a period of one year beginning on January 1 except <br />that if the application is made during the license year a <br />license may be issued for the remainder of the license year for <br />a monthly pro rata fee. An unexpired fraction of a month will <br />be counted as a complete month. The license expires on December <br />31. <br />817.170. Refunds. The City Clerk will refund a pro rata <br />share of the license fee for a license to the licensee or the <br />licensee's estate if: <br />(A) the business ceases to operate because of destruction <br />or damage; <br />(5) the licensee dies; <br />(C) the business ceases to be lawful for a reason other <br />than a license revocation; or <br />(D) the licensee ceases to carry on the licensed business <br />under the license. <br />817.180. Death of Licensee. In the case of death of a <br />licensee, the personal representative of the licensee may <br />continue operation of the business for not more than 90 days <br />after the licensee's death. <br />817.190. Records. A licensed secondhand goods dealer and <br />pawnbroker, at the time of receipt of an item, must immediately <br />record in English, in ink or other indelible medium in a book or <br />other hard copy, the following information: <br />(A) a completely accurate description of the item <br />including, but not limited to, any trademark, <br />identification number, serial number, model number, <br />brand name, or other identifying mark on such item; <br />(6) the purchase price; <br />(c) date, time and place of receipt; <br />(D)- name, address and date of birth of the person from <br />whom the item was received; <br />(E) the identification number from any of the forms of <br />identification of the seller: <br />Page 29 <br />
