The license is effective only for the premises specified in the approved license application. 817.160. Term; Expiration; Pro Rata Fee. The license is issued for a period of one year beginning on January 1 except that if the application is made during the license year a license may be issued for the remainder of the license year for a monthly pro rata fee. An unexpired fraction of a month will be counted as a complete month. The license expires on December 31. 817.170. Refunds. The City Clerk will refund a pro rata share of the license fee for a license to the licensee or the licensee's estate if: (A) the business ceases to operate because of destruction or damage; (5) the licensee dies; (C) the business ceases to be lawful for a reason other than a license revocation; or (D) the licensee ceases to carry on the licensed business under the license. 817.180. Death of Licensee. In the case of death of a licensee, the personal representative of the licensee may continue operation of the business for not more than 90 days after the licensee's death. 817.190. Records. A licensed secondhand goods dealer and pawnbroker, at the time of receipt of an item, must immediately record in English, in ink or other indelible medium in a book or other hard copy, the following information: (A) a completely accurate description of the item including, but not limited to, any trademark, identification number, serial number, model number, brand name, or other identifying mark on such item; (6) the purchase price; (c) date, time and place of receipt; (D)- name, address and date of birth of the person from whom the item was received; (E) the identification number from any of the forms of identification of the seller: Page 29
