515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
June 6, 1991
Mr. Bruce W. Engelsma
President
Kraus - Anderson Bowling
523 South 8th Street
Minneapolis, MN 55404
RE: Meeting Summary
Dear Mr. Engelsma:
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
Pursuant to our meeting of June 4, 1991, I am writing to
reiterate the actions which will be taken to address the
high number of police calls to Mingles: The specific
actions discussed are as follows:
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
* Mingles will notify the Sheriff's Department of
people attempting to use false identifications.
The Sheriff's Department will cite these people
for the purpose of prosecution. The ultimate goal
of this action is the reduction of people
attempting to use false id's at your establishment
and hopefully a reduction in other activity which
may be related to these people. It is
acknowledged that this will increase calls for
service initially until the word is out that
people are being prosecuted.
* Mingles will retain an outside security service on
a permanent basis. They will also ask the
security service for a daily log of activity in
order to monitor the effectiveness of this
service.
* Mingles will intensify walk - through patrol of the
parking lot by their staff of bouncers. As with
the outside security service, it is not the intent
of the bouncers to intervene in the activities,
but rather to identify them and call the
appropriate authority.
P'att 39
