Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council
May 17, 1991
Page 3
Funds Available For Landscaping
(Included in Building Construction Costs)
Funds Not Yet Expended
Total Funds Available For Landscaping
and Parking Lot
10,400.00
30,215.00
$40,615.00
At this point in time, I do not have a good handle on what
the estimates for this work would be. I will attempt to
have a better idea of that number by Wednesday's meeting.
It should also be noted that with my projections, I am
assuming that we will be receiving $10,000 per year in 1992
and 1993 from our cable tv budget to reimburse the City for
the costs associated with the building project as it
pertains to the cable tv area. This has been discussed
with Bill Bruce and he is in agreement with this concept.
I am also assuming that the use of these funds will
virtually spend down the entire City Hall construction
budget and that no funds would be available to return to
the general fund.
If the Council is in agreement with the need for the
landscaping and parking lot improvements, I will need the
authority to proceed with obtaining the appropriate
design. Once the design is finished, bids would then be
obtained for the work.
Please let me know of any comments or questions you may
have regarding this matter.
JRH:kpv
Page 57
