cedfr
25;114 cVCmack
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
May 16, 1991
TO: Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
RE: Status of Tax Forfeit Parcel No. 05- 29- 22 -24- 0044 -8
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
The 30 -foot strip of land that was discussed for the possible use of
access by Costa Lane to Allen Avenue is being proposed to be sold at
tax forfeiture sale by Ramsey County in July, unless the City
requests otherwise. This strip of land is critical to the Wright
property which will front on new Costa Lane if Mr. Wright is to
resplit the property and have two buildable lots.
The question raised is whether the City wants to be involved to
ensure that the property split will occur as discussed; and if not,
the City can let the tax forfeiture sale occur without our
involvement. As of now, I do not see any reason for us to be
involved. If the Council is aware of any facts I'm overlooking, then
we can proceed accordingly.
It should be noted that Milan Moravitz, 476 Allen Avenue, has
indicated he is interested in this property and he would split it to
match his and Wright's property line. This would appear to allow Mr.
Wright to acquire the needed property should he so desire.
Page 58
