J:NUTES
!ARK COMMISSION
JUNE 20, 1991
Sanders replied that he did not see the access being
developed for a couple of years. The Commission is
proposing to develop the Water Works trail this year,
however, development of the access from Burke Lane to
the trail will probably not happen for a couple of
years.
Wehrle asked the width of other trail easements in the
City.
Sanders thought that most of the other trail easements
are 15 feet in width. The Aspen Circle easement is 20
feet wide, however, that easement involves utilities as
well. Sanders estimated that the width of the walkway
itself would be 5 feet.
Carlson stated that he would like to request that the
City vacate the west 15 feet of its 30 foot easement
adjacent to his property.
Sanders and Wehrle stated that they had no problem with
that request. Wehrle pointed out that Mr. Carlson
should be aware that plans would be for a walking trail
on the remaining 15 feet of easement for neighborhood
access to the proposed Water Works trail.
Carlson stated that he had no problem whatsoever with
that. •
Morelan declared that the Park Commission's position is
that 15 feet of easement is all that would be required
adjacent to Lot 10 on Burke Lane for development of a
walking trail as access to the proposed Water Works
trail.
Motion seconded by Fitzgerald.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
ACKNOWLEDGE- Wehrle acknowledged and thanked Little Canada Charities
MENT OF Plus for their recent donations of $25,000 to the
DONATIONS general Park Fund, and $20,000 towards playground
equipment for Nadeau Park.
Sherman suggested that the North Suburban Youth
Association be contacted for a contribution towards the
playground equipment in Nadeau Park.
WESTWINDS Sanders presented a survey of the Aspen pond area which
TRAIL shows that the rear lot lines of the Windrow Drive lots
abut almost right up to the pond.
Page 34
