MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 13, 1991
their comments. Therefore, any action on this matter
will be tabled until the next meeting.
PAWN SHOP The City Planner recommended that the City's Ordinance
ORDINANCE be amended to allow pawn shops as an allowed use in the
B -3 Zoning District. Currently since the Ordinance
does not list pawn shops as either a permitted or
excluded use, they are considered allowable in any
zoning district.. Therefore, the amendment would limit
pawn shops to the B -3 District.
Mr. Garske recommended that the Ordinance be amended to
allow pawn shops as an allowed use in the B -3 Zoning
District.
Motion seconded by DeLonais.
Motion carried 4 - 0.
HOLDING Herkenhoff asked the depth of the holding pond in
PONDS Pioneer Park and expressed concern about the hazard the
pond presents to children.
Keis reported that this issue has been raised in the
past, and the response is that the City cannot fence
Gervais Lake or the various ditches and ponds in the
City.
The City Planner also pointed out that it is not
possible to install a fence that will keep children
away from ponds if that is where they are determined to
go.
ADJOURN Mr. Herkenhoff recommended that the meeting be
adjourned.
Motion seconded by DeLonais.
Motion carried 4 - 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
;y L ir c t fmt
Kathy G/ianzer
Recording Secretary
Page 3
