Director, Girls Activities <br />2380 Greenbrier Circle <br />483-9302 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />FROM: Jim Morelan, Recreation Director <br />DATE: February 19, 1991 <br />RE: Use of Old Fire Station <br />After a brief study regarding this matter, and discussing <br />it with my two assistants, I was going to ask for about 450 <br />square feet of space in the old fire station for storage of <br />recreation equipment. <br />However, after considering it further, I believe that <br />enough additional space should be set aside for the housing <br />of a future vehicle, such as a pick -up truck, for the Parks <br />and Recreation Department. I believe that a purchase of <br />this kind is long overdue. I do not feel comfortable <br />asking my employees to use their own vehicles while working <br />for the City, and the use of the Cushman Trucksters on the <br />City streets to get parts or supplies from area stores is <br />not a very safe practice. <br />In summary, I would like to have approximately 800 square <br />feet for the Parks and Recreation needs. <br />JM:kv <br />cc: Mayor & City Council <br />Fr- e' °65 <br />
