Fahey stated that he would
like the ponding area left on the tax rolls and the City just take an
easement to maintain the pond.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80 -6 -210 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO MEET WITH LARRY LEE AND DRAW UP THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS SO THAT
THE CITY WOULD MAINTAIN AN EASEMENT FOR THE PONDING AREA SHOWN
ON SHOWNEANDPALSO THAT THE 30T FOOT TEASEMENT CASIANWALKWAY TOR THE
D
PARK BE GRANTED TO THE CITY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey.
Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, Nadeau.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Pages 134 and 135.
Mr. Lee informed the Council that on a recent building permit he took out
for the industrial park his park land dedication fee was $3255.00.
Mr. Lee was under the impression that the fee was to be distributed by
the acreage of the property. Mr. Lee is, therefore, requesting an
adjustment on this fee.
Mr. Lee's total park land dedication fee was to be $13,000, which he
felt should be distributed at about $1,000 per acre.
The City Clerk stated that the park land dedication fee was to be
distributed between the four buildings proposed for the industrial park.
Council discussed the possibility of one of the buildings not being built
for several years and then the City would not receive the dedication fee
for some time. Fahey stated that the City would lose use of the money
for several years, and the money would also be devaluated.
Councilman Fahey stated that he was not in favor of treating Mr. Lee any
differently than other developers have been treated. Fahey would like
the fee to be distributed between the four buildings.
Councilwoman Scalze stated that she would present this matter to the Park
Commission for their feelings on it.
Fahey suggested that the Park Commission also put something in writing
regarding the park land dedication fee they agreed to with Mr. Lee for
the residential portion of this development.
County Road
B -2
Improvement
By Water
And Storm
Sewer
Mrs. Mugs Nardini appeared before the Council requesting the improvement
of County Road 8 -2 by storm sewer. Mrs. Nardini stated that this would
be the only permanent solution to the drainage problems in the area. Mrs.
Nardini also stated that to her knowledge, it would be necessary to put
in a watermain on County Road 8 -2 at the same time in order to only have
to tear up the street one time.
Page 4
PAGE -9-
