MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />AUGUST 8, 1991 <br />Bendel pointed out that the purpose of the Conditional <br />Use Permit process is to require businesses to come in <br />and give the City the details of what they want to do. <br />DeLonais pointed out that under the Ordinance a <br />restaurant could not have outdoor tables. DeLonais <br />also pointed out the cost of going through the CUP <br />process. <br />Bendel pointed out that rarely is a CUP denied,, <br />however, the process gives the City control. <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to table action <br />on this matter pending additional information to be <br />obtained by City staff as to how surrounding cities <br />handle the matter of outdoor sales /displays. <br />RYAN DeLonais reported that he recently toured Ryan <br />INDUSTRIAL Industrial Park and felt that the first step towards <br />PARK cleaning up the Park would be to improve the streets in <br />the Park. DeLonais stated that the streets in the Park <br />have never been adequate, and it was time that the City <br />addressed the matter. DeLonais pointed out that there <br />has been discussion that the City does not own the <br />street, however, the City has issued building permits <br />in the Park. DeLonais reported that the streets are sa <br />bad that the Fire Department would prefer not to take <br />their vehicles on them. <br />ADJOURN <br />The City Planner reported that the City owns the street <br />right -of -ways in Ryan Industrial Park. However, the <br />streets were never constructed to City standards, <br />therefore, the City did not accept the streets.
