McBride Construction Co., Inc.
Dear Miss Favis:
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
An inspection was conducted on August 7, 1991 at 1:30 p.m. at 34 East
Little Canada Road. I indicated to Mr. McBride that a certified
survey is required for the establishment of property location in
regards to side yard setbacks and front yard setbacks. At the
present time it appears that the precast slabs on the east side of
the property are encroaching on the property to the east. I also
discussed with Mr. McBride on that day that the overall construction
of the structure would need to be evaluated. The evaluation would be
concerned with the total foundation work surrounding the entire
structure, and a totally new floor system or a system that could
withstand the load and earth pressure of the single family dwelling.
Because of the dilapidation of the structure, the windows and doors
would have to be replaced to meet the required energy code. The
walls would have to meet the minimum requirement of R -19, the windows
would have to meet the envelop energy calculations, and the roof and
ceiling areas would have to meet R -38 requirements. The roofing
system would have to be updated because of the delapidated condition
of the swayback in the roof rafters. In regards to the condition of
the deck, a total new deck would have to be built to include stairs,
handrails and guard rails. Because of the delapidated framework and
the broken glass in the existing screen porch, the framework would
have to be replaced.
The plans that were submitted in regards to the details of
construction are basically all pictorial with no detail regarding the
type of construction or type of application. I informed Mr. McBride
that a total new plumbing, electrical and heating system had to be
evaluated and laid out to conform with the present day code
regulations.
Page 21
