MINUTES
CUP &
VARIANCE
34 EAST
LITTLE
CANADA ROAD
FAVIS
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
August 8, 1991
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular
meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of
Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 8th day of
August, 1991 in the Council Chambers of the City Center
located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City.
Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at
7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission
were present at roll call:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gene DeLonais
Dave Bendel
Claudia Drabik
Steve Garske
Art Herkenhoff
Bob Pedersen
MEMBERS ABSENT: John Keis
ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grittman, City Planner
Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary
There being no corrections to the minutes of the July.
11, 1991 meeting, the minutes stood approved as read.
It was noted that the application for Conditional Use
Permit and Variance for rehab of property at 34 East
Little Canada Road was tabled at the last Planning
Commission meeting for additional information. The
City Planner informed the Commission that no additional
information has been received. The Planner pointed out
that the applicant, Gloria Favis, indicated at the last
meeting that she has a commitment from the County for a
rehab loan. The Planner pointed out that the City can
say that no rehabilitation of the property will be
allowed since the value of the rehab work would exceed
the fair market value limitation specified in the
Ordinance. However, if the variance is approved, then
whatever work is done will need to bring the structure
into conformance with the City's building code and make
it habitable.
Page 1
