This proposal involves the storage of spent fuel <br />rods in a separate facility on the grounds of the plant. <br />The proposal to build this facility is currently before the <br />Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. On behalf of the <br />Prairie Island Tribal Council i would like to urge your <br />support for the tribal position. The Oak Grove Township has <br />expressed their position in a letter to the P.U.C., enclosed, <br />This is a national issue that should not emperil the local <br />communitiee With untested technology. Your support is needed! <br />The Public Utilities Commisssion is hearing this proposal at <br />this time. Please send a letter or resolution expressing your <br />concern for this proposal by December 15, 1991.
