WHEREAS, Funds in the form of grants are made available to cities for tree planting activities by the Commissioner of Natural Resources of the State of Minnesota (hereinafter "State ") from monies appropriated by the Small Business Administration for the purpose of expanding opportunities for small business involvement in tree planting on local government (community) land or land controlled by local (community) government as directed by the Small Business Administration Appropriation Act, Public Law 101 -515; and, WHEREAS, Grantee qualifies for a Natural Resources Development Program Community Tree Planting Grant of $5,000.00 for FY 1992; and, WHEREAS, As a condition of receiving the Grant, Grantee has provided a completed Application for Grant Assistance (hereinafter referred to as the Project Proposal) to Grantor for review and approval. NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: A. Grantor shall grant Grantee the sum of $5,000.00 to be used to complete the work as outlined in the Grantee's Project Proposal. This Project Proposal shall become a part of this Grant Agreement. Any changes in the work must be submitted in writing and approved by Grantor prior to the work proceeding. B. Grantee shall be responsible for the planning, supervision and satisfactory completion of work specified in the Project Proposal and for payment of all monies for work undertaken in accordance with the project. C. All work shall be conducted on Grantee owned or administered lands D. Reports and Records: 1. Annual Expenditure and Accomplishment Report Grantee shall furnish the Grantor with a final accomplishment report upon completion of the Project, but no later than June 30, 1992. It shall contain appropriate certification that all completed work conforms with the specification of approved targets in the Project Proposal or as amended in writing. (1) Page 16
