Coordinates the usage of public facilities for City recreational purposes such as parks, the lower level of the old fire station, District 623 property, etc. 17. Answers citizen call's and complaints and deals with the public on an individual basis in a timely manner. 18. Represents the City in metropolitan, state and national organizations in Parks and Recreation matters where delegated and where the interests of the Little Canada community are involved. 19. Keeps the City Administrator informed on any important developments which may affect the administration of City government. 20. Attends meetings, performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated. Education, Graduation from an accredited college or university Qualifications, university with major course work in recreation Experience: or physical education, including courses in the organization and administration of public recreation; experience in organizing and directing recreational activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the following knowledges, abilities, and skills: Knowledge of the principles and practices, philosophy and objectives of public recreation, including a thorough understanding of activities which make up a community recreation program. Knowledge of the principles of administration and the methods of organizing and staffing a department for a comprehensive recreation program. Knowledge of the facilities and equipment needed in a comprehensive recreation program. Ability to develop and administer and evaluate a recreation program suited to the needs of the community. Ability to recruit, train and supervise personnel required for a recreation program. Page 27
