Required <br />to attend meetings, prepare agenda in <br />conjunction with Park Commission Chair, and <br />prepare staff reports as necessary. <br />8. Advises and cooperates with the Little Canada <br />Recreation Association in order to evaluate <br />recommendations they propose. Attends meetings <br />as requested. <br />9. Assists various civic clubs and organizations to <br />help with proper coordination of community <br />projects and special events. <br />10. Liaison and advisor to community senior citizen <br />organizations. Oversees the expenditure of City <br />budgeted senior funding. <br />11. Prepares the annual operating and capital <br />improvement project (CIP) budgets of the Parks <br />and Recreation Department. Budget preparation <br />is to include recommendations regarding fees <br />charged for programs of the Department to meet <br />budget projections. The operating budget is to <br />be submitted to the Park Commission and LCRA for <br />review and comment. The CIP budget shall be <br />submitted to the Park Commission for their <br />approval prior to submittal to the City <br />Council. All budgets are to be reviewed by the <br />City Administrator prior to submittals. <br />12. Helps to prepare grant applications and requests <br />for contributions together with the City <br />Administrator, applicable to Parks and <br />Recreation programs in accordance with City <br />policies. <br />13. Evaluates on an on -going basis safety conditions <br />and practices associated with Parks and <br />Recreation and implements and /or recommends <br />programs to reduce and prevent personal injuries <br />and property damage. <br />14. City's representative to oversee and coordinate <br />park capital improvement projects. <br />15. Makes public presentations to the City Council, <br />civic, and other governmental organizations as <br />required. <br />Page 26 <br />
