MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
OCTOBER 10, 1991
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular
meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of
Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of
October, 1991 in the Council Chambers of the City
Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City.
Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at
6:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission
were present at roll call:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais
Ms. Claudia Drabik
Mr. Steve Garske
Mr. Art Herkenhoff (arr. 7:50 P.M.)
Mr. John Keis
Mr. Bob Pedersen
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Dave Bendel
ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner
Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary
LONG -RANGE The Commission convened at 6:30 P.M. in order to
PLANNING discuss long -range plans for the Little Canada Road
LITTLE area.
CANADA
ROAD AREA DeLonais asked if it were possible to build single
family homes on the Little Canada Road lots and meet
setback requirements.
The City Planner replied that it appears that one or
two of the lots would have enough area so that setback
requirements could be met, however, all of the lots
appear to be substandard with regard to the Shoreland
Ordinance.
Todd Hagen, property owner in the area, reported that
according to his survey, his lot goes into the middle
of the street.
The City Planner replied that this is typical on
properties that date back many years. Usually, before
the road existed, there was a path. When the property
was divided, the property lines were drawn to conform
to the alignment of the road.
Page 1
