MINUTF,S OF THE REGULAR MF,ETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />April 6, 2006 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 6°i day of April, 2006 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Ginger Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and the following members <br />of the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Ms. Molly Boss <br />Ms. Pam Davis <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Tony Mans (arrived 7:45 p.m.) <br />Ms. Clara Neis (arrived 7:45 p.m.) <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />1~INUTES Sackett Glaser recommended that the minutes from tine meeting held on March 2, 2006 be <br />approved as submitted. <br />Motiou seconded by Boss. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />WATERSHED Davis stated that the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District has formed a volunteer <br />EDUCATION educational committee that will be meeting to develop ideas on how to use their facility <br />COMMITTEE to educate the public on watershed-related topics. She asked the Commission to review the <br />UPDATE outline provided and give any suggestions or comments to her. Davis also reported on the <br />following: <br />• Students from Arlington High School will be cleaning up the Market Place Pond in May. <br />They will also tour the Watershed's campus and walk around Gervais Mill Park to pick up <br />litter. <br />• An open house is scheduled tomorrow from 2-6 p.m. at Watershed offices on Noel Drive. <br />Everyone is welcome to attend. <br />• Waterfest 2006 is scheduled in May. A poster was presented to the Commission that will be <br />displayed in the lobby of the Little Canada City Center. Brochures will also be placed in the <br />lobby for the general public. <br />• Comments from last month's meeting regarding the clean-up needs at Gervais Mill Pond <br />were passed on to the Watershed District. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
