c‘4
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: February 22, 1991
RE: St. Jude's Stop Light Request
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Bob Burow, Architect for the St. Jude's addition project,
has contacted me regarding installation of stop lights on
County Road B2 and the entrance to St. Jude's. The owner
of St. Jude's feels this is a hazardous condition due to
traffic leaving the facility and the grade on County Road
B2. He feels the installation of stop lights is necessary
to protect the safety of his employees and those traveling
on County Road B2. They have discussed this matter with
the County and apparently City participation is needed to
pursue this project. Therefore, Mr. Burow is asking that
the City support the installation of the stop lights at
this location.
Pursuant to this request, I asked Mr. Burow to send us a
letter documenting the basis for their request as well as
St. Jude's involvement in the process. It was my
understanding that St. Jude's would be willing to
participate in the costs involved with this project.
Hopefully this letter will be available for Wednesday
night's meeting.
JRH:kpv
Page 49
