MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION FEBRUARY 14, 1991 Drabik again expressed her concern that the requirement of pathways be made known to developers of property adjacent to park land. The City can then use park dedication fees to purchase the necessary property for the pathways, and the developer can design his plat planning for the walkways. Drabik pointed out that the Comprehensive Plan addresses the City's infrastructure, and pointed out that the City has not dealt with the issue of pedestrian traffic. Pedersen asked if the park plan addresses the City's trail system. The Planner replied that it did, and the Planning Commission should be receiving the proposed Park Master Plan for its review and recommendation in the near future. DeLonais noted that he has repeatedly asked for that plan, but has not received it. DeLonais also pointed out the lack of parks on the west side of the freeway. Drabik pointed out that Nadeau Wildlife Park is located west of the freeway and there are plans for some limited development of that area. Keis pointed out the School District property on the west side of the property and reported that the Master Park Plan recommends that should the property be put up for sale the City purchase it. However, currently the City does have use of those recreational facilities. Bendel asked the status for improvement of a walkway around Gervais Lake. Drabik reported that this improvement was at one time planned for 1992, then was moved to 1995, and is now even further out in the County's improvement schedule. COUNTRY The Commission asked the status of the Kandice Heights DRIVE projects on Country Drive. The Planner indicated that the developer is behind his initial schedule.
