WRITTEN APPLICATION. Any person desiring a <br />dancing and entertainment license shall make his or her <br />application in writing to the City Council by filing said <br />application with the City Administrator. The following <br />information shall be set forth in the application: <br />(1) Name and place of residence of the applicant. <br />(2) The exact location of the premises upon which the <br />applicant proposes to provide dancing and entertainment. <br />(3) Whether the applicant has ever been engaged in a <br />similar business and, if so, the location thereof and the date <br />when so engaged. <br />(4) Whether the applicant proposes to afford the privilege <br />of dancing to his or her guests or whether vaudeville <br />entertainment will be afforded or whether both will be <br />provided. In case the applicant proposes to afford the public <br />the privilege of dancing, the application shall set forth the <br />amount of floor space available which the applicant proposes to <br />maintain for dancing purposes. <br />706.030. LICENSE FEE. The applicant shall deposit with <br />the City Administrator at the time of the filing of his or her <br />application, the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars which sum <br />is hereby set as the license fee to provide dancing and <br />entertainment for a licensee under this Chapter, and the City <br />Administrator shall thereupon deliver to such applicant <br />duplicate receipts therefor containing a statement of the <br />purpose for which such deposit was made and one of said receipts <br />shall be attached to and filed with said application. <br />706.040. INSPECTION OF PREMISES. The Council shall direct <br />such investigation of said application as it may deem necessary, <br />and the applicant shall permit the representatives of any City <br />Department to inspect and examine the place of business <br />described in the application together with all the appliances <br />and instruments used or to be used in the transaction of the <br />business for which a license is sought, and upon receipt of such <br />report, the Council shall thereafter consider the application <br />and grant or deny the same. <br />706.050. PERIOD OF LICENSE. Licenses herein provided for <br />shall run until the following July 1, and if for a period of <br />-20- <br />Page 23 <br />
