MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />March 2, 2006 <br />The Director stated that the city does not pick up trash along the boulevard areas of the parks on <br />a daily basis. The Parks Maintenance crew does patrol the trails for trash on a daily basis during <br />the summer, but doesn't look at areas outside of the trails every day. There is a need for <br />someone to clean pond areas within the parks. When trash accumulates in these locations, the <br />city does not have the tools to access the floating trash. <br />Sanders asked if a nature study program is planned for this swnmer? The Director stated that it <br />is not, but the city could possibly partner with the Watershed District for such a program. <br />ADJOURN Davis recommended that the meeting be adjourned <br />Motion seconded by Neis. <br />Motion carried S - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. <br />Respe f y sabmit , <br />is Pec m n <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
