To: The Mayor and City Council of Little Canada <br />Re: Application of Dan Knudsen for City Planning Commission <br />This letter serves as formal application for a position on the Little <br />Canada Planning Commission. <br />I have been a resident of Little Canada since 1979. During that time I <br />have built my own home and seen a considerable amount of development in <br />both the commercial and residential areas. While this city has come a <br />long way, there are significant opportunities for us to build a better <br />community that lie ahead of us. I feel that I have the experience and <br />dedication necessary to help shape this growth. <br />While I hold a degree in Journalism from St. Cloud State University, the <br />majority of my business experience is in the marketing and strategic <br />planning areas. I am currently Vice President of Marketing for National <br />Car Rental, which maintains its worldwide headquarters in Edina. In that <br />position I am responsible for all of the global marketing and advertising <br />activity done by National and all of its franchise operations throughout <br />the world. <br />I believe that my management skills coupled with the problem solving <br />abilities that I possess give me a good background from which to <br />contribute to the future planning activities of Little Canada.
