P_ CD 1 <br />Animal Control Contract <br />Humane Society of Ramsey County <br />This contract, made and entered into this day of <br />19 , by and between the Humane Society of Ramsey County, <br />(hereinafter "HSRC ") and , (hereinafter the <br />"Municipality ") (collectively the "Parties "). <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The Municipality is in need of animal control services. <br />2. HSRC is willing to provide such animal control services. <br />3. The Municipality wishs to purchase these services from HSRC <br />on the terms and conditions contained in this Contract. <br />Now, therefore, in consideration of the premises and the <br />mutual covenants contained herein, the receipt and sufficiency of <br />which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties do hereby agree as <br />follows: <br />1. Services. HSRC agrees to provide the following services: <br />a. Shelter for animals dropped off by Municipality or <br />residents of the municipality. <br />b. Pickup and transport animals to the HSRC Shelter <br />during normal business hours (currently 9 a.m. to 6 <br />p.m. T -F and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun.). <br />Appropriate referral messages will be left on HSRC <br />after -hours answering machine for residents of Little <br />Canada. Should a 24 -hour service become available, <br />this service would also be provided to the city of <br />Little Canada. <br />c. Limited patrol of public and private streets of the <br />Municipality during regular business hours for the <br />pickup of animals in violation of the Municipality <br />ordinances. HSRC Humane Officer shall respond to <br />complaints and issue citations for violation of <br />Municipality animal control ordinances. Patrol will <br />be 10 hours per week. <br />d. Animal examinations and veterinary care as required. <br />e. Boarding for up to the five (5) day mandatory impound <br />period. <br />f. Quarantine for indefinite period as requested by <br />Municipality. <br />g. Euthanasia and disposal if required. <br />h. HSRC will see that arrangements are made to license <br />any unlicensed animals before release to owners. HSRC <br />will either administer a rabies shot or make <br />arrangements with a veterinarian to provide this <br />service. Licensing fees will be forwarded to the <br />Municipality. <br />Page 11 <br />
