Hanson <br />I have received a request from the residents in the area of <br />DeSoto Street and Allen Avenue to install stop signs to <br />slow traffic down, since many of the vehicles are now using <br />DeSoto Street to avoid LaBore Road from DeSoto Street to <br />Edgerton Street. The residents' main concern is for the <br />safety of their children. I have performed a site <br />inspection of the area for the purpose of reviewing site <br />lines to make sure that installing stop signs in this area <br />would be visable to traffic. <br />At this time, I would like to recommend that the City <br />temporarily erect stop signs there until reconstruction of <br />LaBore Road from DeSoto Street to Edgerton Street is <br />completed. <br />DBH:kpv <br />Page 21 <br />
