time it appears that such reimbursement will exceed said sum, the <br />City shall promptly notify the State's Assistant District <br />Engineer at Oakdale or his duly authorized representative in <br />writing of the reason for the increase in cost and the amount of <br />additional funds necessary for the City furnished materials. If <br />approved by the State's Assistant District Engineer at Oakdale, <br />or his duly authorized representative, additional funds shall be <br />encumbered by the State and notice by the State's Assistant <br />District Engineer at Oakdale or his duly authorized <br />representative will be made to the City of that additional <br />encumbrance. <br />8. Upon execution of this agreement and a request in <br />writing by the State, the County, St. Paul, Roseville, Maplewood <br />and Little Canada shall each advance to the State an amount equal <br />to their portion of the project costs. The County's, St. Paul's, <br />Roseville's, Maplewood's and Little Canada's total portion shall <br />consist of the sum of the following: <br />a) Each respective share (as specified in <br />Paragraph 4) based on the actual bid prices <br />and the estimated State furnished materials <br />costs [excludes City furnished materials — <br />Paragraph 4a(2), 4b(2), 4b(4) and 4i(2)]. <br />b) Six (6) percent of each respective share <br />69107 <br />— 16 — <br />Page 32 <br />
