Any future maintenance work
that has to be done shall be part of our maintenance
agreements that are already in force with the State and
County. By upgrading this system, it will improve the flow
of traffic for the emergency vehicles during emergencies
using the Rice Street corridor. This will include the Fire
Departments, certain police departments, and the Ramsey
County squads if the City desires to put an emitter unit in
this squad.
It is my recommendation that the City Council approve the
Traffic Control Signal Agreement No. 69107 between the City
of Little Canada and the State of Minnesota, Department of
Transportation. When the original agreement is available,
the State will bring it in for signatures. After it has
been executed by the State officials, a certified copy will
be returned to us for our files.
DBH:kpv
Page 3
